The exact offer is the unit of comparison
A Wegovy tablet through one service is a different offer from its Wegovy injection, or the same tablet through another service. Each has its own review and current source checks. Shared care facts are reused only where the same program applies; prices remain tied to their medicine, device, strength, supply, payment plan and phase.
These are editorial shopping preferences, not clinical evidence grades or patient satisfaction scores. A higher score does not establish safer prescribing, better outcomes, a better pharmacy or personal medical suitability. We have not enrolled as patients or tested clinical care.
Care routes and pharmacy fills have different scopes
A pharmacy-only offer requires an outside prescription and excludes clinician care. Clear disclosure of that boundary earns care-billing clarity points because the purchased service is defined; it does not earn credit for providing care. Compare pharmacy-fill ratings with other pharmacy fills, and care-route ratings with other care routes. The page identifies the scope beside each offer.
The score is not a lowest-cost ranking. For example, a clearly priced service can score well while charging more than a competing service. The exact bill, support preferences and required commitment still determine which shopping route suits you.
Every criterion and its points
Medication price clarity · 30 points
- 30: exact continuing prices for every listed strength on the standard payment plan.
- 24: exact regular continuing prices for some listed strengths. Conditional refill discounts are separate and cannot replace a regular price.
- 17: exact starting prices, with later prices still unresolved.
- 8: a starting headline with no matched strength. 3: a separate pharmacy quote is required. Neither alone establishes a complete medicine bill.
Care billing clarity · 25 points
- 25: published initial and continuing care amounts, or a pharmacy-only route that explicitly excludes prescribing care.
- 13: only one care phase is priced. 0: a confirmed individual quote is required.
- A care route with an unresolved initial or continuing care amount cannot receive stars.
Commitment and cancellation · 25 points
- For care programs: commitment contributes 12 points for no minimum term, 9 for three months, 6 for six months, or 3 for twelve months. These are editorial preferences for flexibility.
- Cancellation contributes 13 points for a documented deadline and channel, 7 for one, or 0 for a documented quote-only rule.
- For separate access routes: 25 for documented commitment and cancellation rules; 13 for one documented part. Unresolved rules stay unknown, with a possible range of points.
Published purchase and support scope · 20 points
- For care programs: documented clinician access contributes 10 points, limited access 6, confirmed absence 0; clear support boundaries contribute 10, partial boundaries 5, confirmed quote-only boundaries 0.
- For separate access routes: 20 for clear support scope and terms; 10 for a partly described scope. Unresolved support stays unknown.
- Published support does not verify delivery speed, clinical quality or outcomes.
When we withhold stars
No exact continuing medication price for a named strength, unresolved initial or continuing care charges, expired evidence or an invalid offer prevents a complete rating. For a pharmacy-only offer, outside prescribing care is excluded from the purchase rather than treated as free.
Other missing evidence stays unknown. We calculate the lowest and highest possible scores for it, require at least 80 of 100 points to have current evidence, and publish stars only if both totals round to the same half-star. We never drop unknown criteria and inflate the remaining denominator. A provider can remain in the secondary catalog without a rating; the missing facts are explained on its review.
Known limitations are different from missing facts: a documented annual commitment earns fewer flexibility points than a documented no-minimum plan. A missing commitment or cancellation rule is not silently treated as a proven unfavorable rule.
From points to stars
The rubric totals 100 points. We use 1 + (4 × points ÷ 100) and round to the nearest half-star. A 5.0 is a rounded editorial score, not perfection. The full review shows each scored observation, its points, the exact cited source and its check date. Price observations and shared care observations retain their own dates.
How a featured pick earns its label
A featured choice needs a researched advantage for a named shopping situation, a stated tradeoff, a current offer and a supported rating of at least 3.5. Clear medication pricing or a clearly separated prescribing-care bill must support the decision. We do not give every company an award, choose winners alphabetically, or infer superiority from an ingredient name.
We keep other researched offers available so coverage is broader than our picks. Affiliate compensation does not determine scores, coverage or category awards. Provider statements support a description of the offer; they do not independently prove medical performance. Individual insurance coverage, eligibility, stock and checkout costs still need confirmation.
Dates and updates
The month reflects an editorial edition, not an automatic claim that every source was rechecked on the first day. Each price and observation has a check date and freshness limit. An update to one source does not renew older observations. Expired or conflicting facts are withdrawn until resolved.
