About Designing Longevity

We believe everyone deserves access to clear, honest health information—without the jargon, hype, or hidden agendas.

Why We Built This

The health information landscape is broken. On one side, you have clinical research papers that require a PhD to decode. On the other, you have wellness influencers making wild claims about supplements and protocols with zero accountability.

We wanted something in between: guides that are genuinely accessible but don't sacrifice accuracy. Information that respects your intelligence while acknowledging that most people don't have time to read 50 studies on every topic.

Designing Longevity is our attempt to bridge that gap. We take complex topics—GLP-1 medications, peptides, longevity interventions—and explain them in plain English, while being honest about what we know, what we don't, and what's still speculation.

Our Approach

Evidence First, Always

We cite our sources. When evidence is strong, we say so. When it's weak or speculative, we say that too. We'd rather tell you "we don't know" than pretend we do.

Plain English, Not Jargon

We explain concepts as we'd explain them to a smart friend who isn't a doctor. If we use technical terms, we define them. Our goal is clarity, not showing off.

Honest About Trade-offs

Every intervention has benefits and risks. We present both sides. We don't pretend that weight loss drugs are magic or that peptides are without concerns.

No Conflicts of Interest

We don't sell supplements. We don't have affiliate links. We don't take money from drug companies. Our only incentive is providing genuinely useful information.

What We Cover

We focus on topics where clear information is hard to find and where the stakes are high:

  • GLP-1 medications (Ozempic, Mounjaro)—the most significant weight loss drugs in decades
  • Peptides (BPC-157, TB-500)—promising research compounds with limited human data
  • Longevity interventions—what actually works vs. what's hype
  • Recovery and healing—evidence-based approaches to injury recovery

We're not trying to cover everything. We go deep on topics we understand well, rather than shallow on everything.

Who's Behind This

The Designing Longevity Team

Health Research & Science Communication

We're not doctors, and we want to be upfront about that. We're dedicated health researchers and science communicators who spend hundreds of hours reading peer-reviewed studies, clinical trials, and expert analyses on the topics we write about.

Our role is that of translators—taking complex medical research and explaining it in plain English for people who don't have time to read 50 papers on every topic. Think of us like science journalists who specialize in longevity and health optimization.

Every claim on this site links back to its source. We clearly label the strength of evidence (strong, moderate, speculative) so you know what's well-established versus what's still being researched. And we always recommend consulting with healthcare professionals before making any health decisions.

How we research: Every guide synthesizes peer-reviewed literature from PubMed, FDA approval documents, clinical trials from ClinicalTrials.gov, and analyses from independent researchers. We prioritize systematic reviews and meta-analyses over individual studies. See our full methodology.

Important: This Is Not Medical Advice

Nothing on this website should be taken as medical advice or as a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare provider. We provide educational information to help you have better conversations with your doctor, not to replace those conversations.

Before starting any medication, supplement, or intervention discussed here, talk to a healthcare professional who knows your specific situation.
